Anaïs
Physiotherapist
Anaïs graduated with honours from the University of Leuven, Belgium, as a Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy having specialised in paediatrics.
Before joining KPL Anaïs gathered a breadth of experience at private clinics and special needs schools across Belgium, Switzerland, and the UK. She has a special interest in supporting children with Cerebral Palsy and similar neurodevelopment conditions.
Anaïs applies her considerable expertise in Movement Analysis Education Strategies (MAES) Therapy when treating her patients. She spent three years working at the MAES Therapy Centre in London under the supervision of Jean-Pierre Maes – the founder of MAES Therapy.
MAES Therapy is a holistic approach that looks from the child’s perspective and how they experience, understand, and interact with the world around them. A thorough observation and analysis of the child’s motor skills, cognitive skills and behaviour is key for Anaïs to provide a holistic therapy based on the child his needs.
Anaïs has a great passion for working with children and ensures her sessions are fun! The session would start with a detailed conversation with the parents whilst observing child’s spontaneous movements and moving on to assess their cognition and understanding. Only after that stage will Anaïs begin physiotherapy and develop a treatment strategy providing creative and challenging interventions while supporting families to continue these at home to ensure their child reaches its full potential.
