Motomed Bike

We have a Motomed bike in our clinic which is a game-changer for children with movement difficulties, specifically designed to improve mobility and overall, well being.  We sometimes use it during therapy sessions in conjunction with our direct physiotherapy input to complement our work.  The motomed has adjustable settings and various exercise programmes that can be selected to the need of the child.  It has the following features:

Motorized/ Passive – This allows for motor driven smooth movement to help relax your muscles.

Motor assisted – Even with minimal muscle strength and little or no effort or strain on the muscles you can achieve an easy transition from passive to active training.

Active – Cycle against finely adjusted resistance levels.

Interactive features – Engaging games makes therapy sessions fun and motivating for our children.

Safety aspect

The MOTOmed bike is equipped with several safety features, such as Spasm Control, with Movement protector and spasm detection. By this, safe movement therapy is guaranteed, despite of physical limitations.

Results

At the end of the work out you have an overview of the data, so you are able to keep a track on progress made, to help with goal setting.
