Physiotherapist

Cristina

Cristina qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2019 at the University of Physical Education and Mountain Sports in Brasov, Romania.

After University Cristina worked for one year at a private clinic in Romania treating both adults and children.  After moving to the UK in 2021 Cristina worked as a therapy assistant for a charity specialising in paediatric care gaining valuable experience of the diverse range of conditions under the umbrella of paediatric physiotherapy.

Cristina approaches initial assessments with a discussion and asking strategic questions of parents while observing the child at the same time.  She feels that this two-pronged approach works well, putting the child at ease and making them comfortable in the environment, enabling her to see their range of abilities and providing as much information as possible before commencing treatment.  Cristina is creative in her approach to therapy and, where possible, likes to incorporate the child’s hobbies and interests to ensure the sessions are fun and engaging.  She is very experienced in the use of our Innowalk machine and often incorporates this to maximise patient outcomes.

Mickey was 14 and had ongoing spinal issues and muscle weakness when we brought him into Kids Physio. He could barely walk more than a few paces and for several months had needed a wheelchair to get around. He could not even continue with school. We were so fortunate to have found Donna and Cristina. In the first session they designed a tailored programme for him, and a couple of months later he was moving around on his own and back in school. Our son hated doing his rehab exercises, but Cristina was very caring and engaging and made the sessions really fun. She was able to motivate him to get the best out of him. He looks forward to each session and now several months later he is pretty much back to full strength. We are so grateful to Cristina and the team for providing such wonderful care and support!
